Monarch Egg Sighted

Date: 10/05/2013

Number: 1

I reported about 8 or so eggs a few days ago. Well today, the same female was laying eggs on the few tropicals still left with leaves. I also found she had laid eggs on the butterfly and swamp milkweed. 80 eggs counted and inside. More milkweed will have to be bought. We were fortunate to have a friend give us the name of someone with a permit who can transport the monarchs farther South after they emerge. Any milkweed is either covered or cut back. Hoping this female decides to fly south before cooler temps arrive.
