Have been seeing Monarchs in the yard for a few weeks now so decided to drive around town to see if I could spot any others. This is a fruit tree (why it's blooming in the fall I have no idea). The entire tree (only a section of it is shown here) was alive with Monarchs, floating, fluttering, hanging, really was quite a sight! I counted approximately 70 butterflies on the tree but many others were flying within the area. Tree was in a vacant lot close to downtown Lake Dallas. I don't know the name of the tree.
