Its been weeks since I've seen a butterfly let alone a monarch. This year was a bust as far as eggs being found and raised released and tagged. I saw a total of 3 monarchs all spring summer and fall. A year ago I raised 600 from eggs tagged 200 of the 3 generations. This year zero !
I looked everywhere as well as my friends looked all summer there was nothing :((((. At this point where my flowers have all fades and died and my milkweed yellowed and seeded I'm closing this chapter on 2013.
Hopefully next year will be better and the monarchs will have returned to Cape Cod. When they so I'll be back reporting their every move to you.
Happy Holidays to all and see you next Migration North........ Pattie
