I was surprised to see a large female feeding on the red salvia in my south garden. It was only 55 degrees. I am glad I have so many nectar sources still blooming, and I won't be taking my feeder down anytime soon. It has been over a week since my resident hummers left the mulberry tree that they were 'protecting' all summer.
