Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/08/2013

Number: 477

I did a walk around the property today at roughly the same time as yesterday. Numbers have tripled to 477 today. I've been at this location for ten years and around 500 or so has been the most I've seen, so this pretty much equals that. Don't have my notes available to break it down by years, but I'm sure there must be a way to look at the Dplex list from past years. Last year was pretty dismal -- probably a 100 - 150. I don't think I even reported that to Dplex. Individuals are fresh and healthy and fattening up fast. I've posted a couple of short videos on the Dallas County Lepidopterists' Society Facebook page (link below).
