Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 10/11/2013

Number: 1

I have only been finding any caterpillars in just the last two weeks. There are now about a dozen chrysalises in my rearing cage and there's still one rather small caterpillar trying to catch up. I have only seen a very few butterflies all summer. Generally the bulk of the migrators have passed through here by now. It has been an unusual year for the monarchs.
