I can confirm 6 adults nectaring on the tropical milkweed,white butterfly bush, and chaste tree in my garden. I've not seen more than 2 at a time all year, and less than 10 altogether for the season. Can't be sure if these are the same 6 or if they were rotating in and out. Many flying through the yard and I've also seen them along the roads, always flying south. They hung around the flowers til almost dark, way too late to be flying on - wish I could have found their roost! Today, 10/11/13, I only saw 2 at any one time. Either there are lots of caterpillars and chrysalides in the garden that I didn't see, or this is the migration! Fellow watchers report the same peak yesterday.
