Visited Ritchey Woods at mid-day and watched one Monarch butterfly flying slowly around the field, nectaring on asters. Most goldenrod and other flowers are spent and dried, but the asters were still fairly fresh. Sunny, warm day with temp in the mid-70s - nice day for flying, with at least a few more days of mild weather to come; hopefully, the lone traveler will be on his/her way South soon.
