Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/12/2013

Number: 1

I relocated 13 mature larvae this morning to Atascocita Springs Elementary school's butterfly garden as I had run out of milkweed in my garden. Hoping the students enjoy their important visitors.

I released two females yesterday and have 6 chrysalis hanging. They were very busy in my garden laying eggs and so many survived the odds. I had a lot of milkweed but not enough for all the larvae. Thankful to see so many this Journey South and that I could share with ASE so their students can share this wonderful experience.
