Do not have written observation,but as 2014 year approaches I will start to document the arrival of my hummers. Since 2008, a year after we built our home in the middle of the woods, the hummingbirds have been arriving late April to early May and stay and have their famillies all summer, then start to leave about mid-september to mid-october. There is always a couple who stay till they can't live with the weather any more. During the summer, I have to fill my 1/2 litter feeders twice a day. If we go on vacation, I hire someone just to keep the feeders full. I use no dye in the feeders and use vegan sugar.
