Flying southwest toward Holiday Beach Conservation Area. Same weather conditions as my Maidstone report. About 2:45 PM. I am seeing more monarchs in October than I ever have before and more than all summer! Since the vegetation was late perhaps that is why the monarchs are too. Thank goodness the weather is holding for them. Still plenty of nectar sources here, I hope the same holds true for the rest of their journey! There is still lots of milkweed that hasn't gone to seed so perhaps I will still see more.
