On a sunny day with temps in the low 60's with a strong east wind @ 18 mph, I spotted 11 monarchs. The monarchs looked very healthy. With the strong wind the monarchs took to roosting around 3 pm. Tagging along with the monarchs were buckeye butterflies, who also roosted in the pine trees. Temps tonight are expected to be in the low 50's / high 40's.
