Rain overnight. humid. south wind. overnight low 69. I did a quick check about 16:00. Temp 76, still overcast. A few spots of sun around 17:00. Essentially no monarchs on flowers. Still many in groves and trees. More reluctant to fly when approached than previous days. Some tolerated my camera one foot away. Fewer counted primarily, I suspect, because fewer flushed from trees, especially if perched high in trees.
