Hard rain overnight.
10:45. Overcast earlier. Not raining. Patches of blue sky starting to move in from north. temp 60. Wind north 12G20.
Monarchs spaced apart and sunning spread-winged on south side of trees that face an interior opening in the large grove. Some flexing wings. Some flying up.
Some landed again but others appeared to fly off with wind. As I watched over ten minutes, numbers flying increased and number on the trees decreased. Increasing numbers more clearly seemed to head up into the wind, where they were carried south.
