Our wonderland visitors arrived Oct 1 and departed Oct 4, 2013. I would guess around 600 to 700...however my photographer was out among them and feels more like 1,000 monarchs....They appeared to be interested in the alfalfa field in bloom. I know nothing about them, but can only hope we can provide a stopover next year for them. I'll put out a welcome sign on Sept 30.
