have seen what we think to be several black chins and LOTS of ruby throats, both male and female. however we see the ruby throats ALL year-round. We have four feeders at each corner of the house so the little "pigs" can't watch them all at the same time.
Are presently mixing 2 to 1 as far as the sugar/water since they need more energy now for those migrating. I think though we have lots who just stay and live here on good 'ole James Island (suburb of Charleston), one mile from the harbour.
