Worked late this morning so I didn't get home until after 8am..
I wanted to put some room temp sugar water out before 7 am in case the lil
Hummer came back.
Pulling car into the garage, I noticed a shape hanging off one of the feeders.
Turned the car off ( half in and half out..I know my neighbors were laughing
and wondering what I was doing but I didnt care)
The lil hummer was hanging on the feeder by her feet!
I was so scared...and guilty...had she frozen to death because she could'nt find anything warm to eat? Still watching I thought I saw her move! I think..
or maybe I just wanted her to be okay so badly I just imagined it.
Went on in the house and continued to watch her...no movement at all.
The sun was shining stronger and i knew it was getting warmer out.
Then...she just "woke up"...fluffed up her feathers and preened a little...
Took some long drinks then flew away like nothing happened!
She scared me sooo much..but I'm just glad she is okay.
