Sightings report image

Date: 10/18/2013

Number: 4

After my last report on the 10th of just a half dozen in the am and ~20 in the pm we had a extreme rainstorm and cool front push about 30 into our feeders for a couple of days last weekend. Over the week that number has now diminished down to only just 4 at best count. I've slowly removed feeders but will keep a few up in anticipation of the Rufous returning. Last year we kept 2 feeders up all year and had 3 Rufous hang out here. This one I caught in flight. He was a young male that I named Dot. All 3 had very distinct throat markings.
