Sunny, breezy day with intermittent overcast. Observed a female Monarch for two hours. Found Monarch basking in the sun on the lawn. The female swirled around in the wind with a Gulf Fritillary a moment, then flew straight to the milkweed patch. Nectared from Asclepias curassavica, from Lantana camara 'Dallas Red' and from purple Buddleia davidii. No eggs laid. Hoping she is gravid and returns tomorrow!
