Moore Park in Del Rio, Tx. had several 100 monarchs clustering between two trees on a spit between a canal and the San Felipe Creek between 2 and 4 p.m. It was breezy (12-17mph) and the monarchs in front of the main migration wave were traveling through the trees surrounding the creek. When they hit a stiff breeze, the smell of the cluster down wind would bring them back to one particular spot. I counted 76 in one small area (2'sq.). Then we noticed a more sheltered huizache tree east across the creek and about 250 were clustering there.
