First, I sighted a Monarch Butterfly at the end of July! On August 7, I counted 14 instars. On August 18, three adults had emerged and flew. the next day I found two dead. On October 7, I saw one adult. On October 18 I lost count, but for the entire day, I can guess that a couple of hundred flew over, a few of them stopping for the nectar plants and depositing eggs on the milkweed.I will keep monitoring and send any information regarding further developments.
We saw three adults on October 19, and two on the 20th.
