My Certified Monarch Waystation encircles every direction of my house. Last year, I started planting tropical milkweed, and I came back in profusion this year! My garden includes many host plants and nectar plants for all kinds of butterflies - butterfly bush, asters, frog fruit, cleome, blue mistflower, senna, cenizo, zinnias, passion vines, lantana, sage, and pipevine to name a few. The tropical milkweed has attracted an abundance of monarchs this year, and I've observed every stage - from eggs to larvae to chyrsalis to adult. What a delight to realize my butterfly habitat and waystation is really working and making a difference!
