Friday, Oct 18 was a good day for monarchs on north Assateague Island, just south of Ocean City.
Monarchs were migrating down the beach. We saw several per hour. Weather conditions were perfect (full sun,NW wind).
Just as I had expected-- a late flight of monarchs coming down the Mid-Atlantic coast on WNW, NNW and NW winds. This post from my research associate.
