Saw only four adult monarchs on the bushes between Mounds Pool and the Lighthouse at St. Marks NWR today. The St. Marks NWR Monarch Festival is this Saturday. Will be cold and possibly windy. We began watching the Monarchs in 1993 - this is the fewest Monarchs we've observed this late in October since we began watching them during their migration.
