1st and 2nd Grade GT students planted red emperor tulip bulbs on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the community garden plot of Western Heights Public Schools. The amount is near 30 bulbs. The soil was loamy and clay-like so we the digging was "sticky." We included parents and grandparents to help us plant. A grand fall gardening event was had by all. The weather was in the 60s and over-cast. We are anticipating a cold front to arrive and produce rainfall this evening. The students are already asking about the tulips blooming!
