The commuting/migrating Hummingbirds are still coming thru our place. There are groups of up to ten hummingbirds at a time heading south for the winter. Typically Anna's or Black Chinned. Rufous came thru headed south in September. Most of the hummers are young, with what seems to be a single lead bird guiding the young ones south on their first migration. Wish someone could confirm this. Young birds are very curious, typically flying right up to me when I change the food in the feeder. The mature birds don't do this. Its like they have never seen a human which could be the case. We have four large feeders out to accomodate all the hummingbirds
