Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/21/2013

Number: 7

Sightings had been rare for the fall migration time in this area - on this date, one nectared on a butterfly bush for about 2 hours, another on a wild shrub with lots of bees for about the same time - during the time I was photographing these two, 5 others flew over - a little higher than the house tops. The previous weekend numberous ones were sighted between Texarkana and Glen Rose, Texas. The butterflies were ahead of a cold front.
