I enjoyed several days at Alligator River NWR and the North Carolina Outer Banks (Cape Hatteras northward to Duck) last week (23-27 October) for the annual Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival. Although temps were in the 50s-60s, skies were often sunny and butterflies were certainly present every day.
