Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/15/2013

Number: 150

From Oct 12 to Oct 31 I have had from one to 10 monarchs 95% of time between the hours of 10:00am to 6:00 pm with the approx. 10 at a time occuring in a five day period after Oct 17th. This is unusual for me and I believe they are attracted to a 50 X 60 foot patch of cow pen daisey that took over a section of garden. Can't give an accurate count because can't measure overlap. 150 total is a conservative estimate. Glorious experience!!!!!The ones I observed leaving made a circle then headed southwest. I made this a teacheing experience and many enjoyed!
