A rare sighting of a male calliope hummingbird was reported in Manchester, New Hampshire. The sighting was confirmed by Bill Hilton after viewing a photograph of the bird. The calliope is the smallest bird found north of Mexico. It is rarely seen east of the Rocky Mountains. (Report compliments of Leslie Bergum.)
