10/30/13 Released the last of this group of 6 to emerge, this being the 3rd male and 3 females of this bunch of eggs on my milkweed at home in Austin. This one turned clear, emerged, and was wanting to FLY faster than any I've ever seen. Whole process took about 3 hours from getting a little dark, but not clear, to flying at the cage walls to GET GOING! released it onto nectar plants, but he didn't stop, just took flight and sailed on with the breeze!!!!
Also spotted one Monarch floating along near Bee Caves while traveling from Austin to Marble Falls on 10/30.
Have caught glimpses of 2 more in Marble Falls area 10/31 & 11/01.
Sidelight: also released last 5 Queens on Monday 10/28, one of which came fro the first pink chrysalis I've seen...cool! It was the largest chrysalis in the group of 15.
