Date: 11/04/2013

Number: 1

I purchased milkweed seed last fall 2012 and planted them in Jan....have had lots of Monarchs, butterflies and Chrysalis..problems with some type of wasp killing the large caterpillars..and lady bugs eating the eggs...it is now Nov,I live in San Diego and am seeing lots of caterpillars and eggs...the milkweed is still growing and blooming, haven't seen any wasps...should I bring the plants in at night...the temps. on the coast have been dropping to the mid 40's...I have kept all of the seed pods and want to go and sow them in the canyons in my area...this has been a great experience for me and one that I will continue as long as I am physically able...such a precarious existence these beautiful beings endure.......
