Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 11/02/2013

Number: 1

This weekend we noticed an influx of male Anna's at the feeders. We have 2 to 4 males that over winter with us. But our numbers tripled much to the distress of the local boys. Don't know if they are staying or just fueling up to stay ahead of the cold snap heading south. We also saw huge numbers of Rufous on Cortes Island this May. They were two to a perch and several hovering. We had 4 feeders out that had to be filled every 2 hours. The birds would lite on our arms when we would try to hang or remove the feeders. Hope we get a repeat next year.
