Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/07/2013

Number: 1

I reported 2 female Monarchs in my yard yesterday. I noticed today they appeared to be laying eggs. I found over 30 eggs, some fresh pearl colored, others more yellowed. More amazing I found 13 larva. Here's the problem. All summer I found perfectly round holes in leaves and no larva that would be seen one or 2 days before. I have a photo now of what's going on but not by what. About half the larva look like this, the process of a hole being cut????? What is going on?
