We planted a fourth grade garden behind the school with a southern exposure. We planted a fifth grade garden in raised beds in front of the school with a southern exposure. We tried a number of experiments with the tulips. Does putting compost in the soil help the tulip? Will a tulip bulb grow without a tunic? Will a tulip bulb grow that is cut in half. Our new garden is up the hill from the fourth grade garden. It is a test garden for a possible raised bed we would like to plant in the spring.
