Here is a 7 minute video I shot during my visit to the blue gum eucalyptus tree (native to Australia) and monterey cypress overwintering grove at Lighthouse Field State Beach Santa Cruz, Calif. on Nov. 6. The first 4 minutes of footage shows the abundance of monarch caterpillars I saw on the tropical milkweed, Asclepias physocarpa, (native to South Africa) that was planted in a garden across the street from the overwintering grove:
