We live on Upper Greenwood Lake in NJ close to the NY border. This morning we saw an enormous bald eagle swoop across the lake and perch in a tree. We watched him or her through our binoculars for about 15 or 20 minutes. He or she may have been scoping out a meal from the flock of bufflehead ducks who are taking a break from their migration on our lake. It was thrilling to see! No mistaking that amazing white head and the HUGE wingspan. Just thrilling!
