The air smells a little smokey almost like burning wood or leaves. The air is windy and colder. Many trees are losing their leaves and wherever you walk there is a new crunchy sound because of the dried lifeless leaves below. We don't have days in the 70 degree F much anymore. There are no bees and not as many birds chirping and flying around us. Our days seem shorter for the dark of the night seems to creep in sooner each day.
