At about 4pm on November 14th I discovered a dead selasphorus hummingbird(probably a rufous, can't rule out allen's) on my patio directly under the feeder. It was an immature male. I don't know what happened to it. Obviously, it was able to fly over a thousand miles to reach my yard and it found the feeder, but then died. I sure wish I would have been watching when it showed up at the feeder. Maybe I could have helped it.
