I was surprised when I stepped outside and there was a Rufous hummingbird feeding from my feeder! It continued to drink from the sugar water, which was not fresh. I immediately ran inside and made some fresh in hopes it would return. We had sleet last evening, our first of the season.I certainly was not prepared for it. This is the first year I have noticed any this late, November 25. Exciting!!
