First through fifth instar larva on our milkweed plants. Caterpillars and or eggs have been brought inside and placed in individual containers for rearing. Tachinid fly parasitation is decreased if eggs are harvested and cats are raised indoors. 60-70% of cats make it through crysalizing and eclosing.
