Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 11/30/2013

Number: 1

We had a rufous male stay here during the 2012 winter. He left in March 2013 and is back again with us this year. We think it is the same bird and he is very territorial, even with us. We have loquat trees which bloom in Nov/Dec and they attract hummingbirds. We see more than one bird on occasion when they bloom and they are all rufous. The usual ruby throated hummers we have during spring and summer do not stay.
