the single female Monarch, my first and only raised from caterpillar to butterfly, has taken off for Mexico...I put her out yesterday, the first warm day since she eclosed and she made no effort to fly away. Today, the Sun came out and she fluttered and didn't seem to know how to fly for hours, but would try to fly as I approached and got better at it as the day wore on....and then she was gone......Fly Fast, Mariposa!...
