Sightings report image

Date: 12/05/2013

Number: 2

We still have a sub adult male and female Rufous. The photo is of the female. They stay in their trees about 25 feet apart. I asked my neighbor to put out her feeder again so they won't fight. So far so good. But the male still chooses to come to our feeders when it is cold. I hope the bubble wrap helps keep the chill off. The Rufous don't seem to mind the cold sugar water and are more active when it is colder. We do bring in the feeders when it freezes over night.
