We planted our bulbs at about 8:40 am. The temperature was about 50 degrees F. The weather was sunny, cool and breezy. The sky was clear and blue. The soil temperature was 55.5 degrees F. We wondered if the soil was warmer than the air because it was still warmed up from the summer sun.
