Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/11/2013

Number: 1

Hummingbird continues to visit our feeder approximately every 30 minutes to 1 hr. Today, watched him sit on woody part of trumpet vine basking in the sun and assuming waiting for insects. Still believe it's a rufous -- looking at him from inside of our sunroom through the windows, his back appears green with white on both sides. Have been unable to get too close or he takes off. Would love to come up with a container similar to hummingbird feeder that would house live insects for him -- just to get him through as it's going to get colder this week and it's not even winter.
