Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/15/2013

Number: 1

All hummers had left our area here in the northern part of the FL panhandle by 1 Oct 2013. It was 7 Nov after a freeze in our area that one hummer came to the feeders. He has returned twice a week, with the latest sighting 12-15-2013. He came yesterday and appeared to be eating bird seed from the seed feeders before going to the hummingbird feeders. We are keeping the hummer feeders out for such a scenario as this. On nights when it reaches freezing temperatures, we bring some feeders inside to be warmed by room temperature and exchange them in the morning. As soon as we get a photo we will post it.
