Here is a 5 minute video I shot during my visit to the Monarch Grove Sanctuary overwintering site at Pacific Grove, Calif. on Dec.15. I thought there were roughly 8,000 monarchs clustered there (vs 5,500 last winter on Jan. 3) but Pacific Grove's museum and sanctuary docent counters estimate 13,000.
