Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/15/2013

Number: 1

Assume that is was a Ruby Throated Hummingbird….but I only saw it for a few seconds and even though I have heard that they sometimes over winter here…I was shocked. I am told Rufus Hummingbirds migrate through, so maybe. I have some things in my garden still blooming (Salvia elegans and Asclepias curassavica) but not much. I don't do feeders…but may be I should. We have temps in the 60's during the day but into the 30's at night.
