We had hundreds of anxious Robins flying around our yard today. We are one of the highest areas in our town and I often see many birds gather in our yard before flying south. I have never seen Robins in January before. They were flying past our windows and were all fluffed up. I was worried because some were eating the salt in the roads and I think it is a chemical that they are putting down, not salt. It is very cold, so I was surprised to see them on New Year's Day, but it was fun to watch them!
